More like a spotlight than a wash light
I purchased for use in my room. They are fairly bright but I would guess the beam angle is like 15 degrees, so it’s more of a directional spotlight than a wash light. Probably good if you’re trying to light up certain things but I was trying to get the entire room.

    Cheap and effective
Didn’t have very high expectations but these are solid UV PARs that are the same quality as the U King RGB pars and produce a good UV glow. Not quite a spot but much tighter beam than a UV flood, and makes it easy direct the light onto specific objects or areas. It does have a brighter visible purple color than some other higher quality UV lights closer to 365nm wavelength, but those are also harder to find with DMX control and more expensive even without it.I ordered 2 of these originally, then got 4 more when I liked them, and will get more in the future as well.

Remote control setup conflicts with other lights
The “U`King” lights of this type also come in RGB versions which are essentially exactly the same item, except with color LEDs instead of blacklight ones. In fact, I think this item is just reconfigured to use blacklight LEDs but nothing else is really changed. This is evident if you engage some of the fade modes – about half of the blacklight LEDs turn on, then fade out as the other half turn on – but since they’re all the same color, it doesn’t really have any effect visually. It does when the LEDs are different colors. But what’s really irritating is that the remotes for the two products don’t use different codes. They all function via IR, and if you have the color spotlights and the blacklight spotlights in the same place, any button you push on either remote will cause all of the lights to do… something. If you’re trying to just set the blacklights solid, your RGB lights are going solid too. If you try to set the RGB lights to cycle through colors, the blacklights start pulsing. The cross-control makes them impossible to use together and control independently. This probably isn’t an issue using DMX control, but that’s a more complicated setup than I expect a lot of people are trying to use at this price point.I figured it would make sense to purchase the same brand of lights between RGB and blacklights, but it creates more problems than solutions, so I’m keeping the RGBs and returning the blacklights to go with another style like a blacklight bar.

excellent investment, the cost-benefit ratio is magnificent, I am very happy with my new lights, they will look great in my night room….recommended product.

    Not as bright as described
Does not work as advertised but does work

Very Bright. Direct light has a purple glow which ruins the magic a little. Confusing to operate
Black light leds don’t really work well in general. They’re, in part, ultraviolet, but not without giving off a lot of just plain old violet light. These lights are extremely bright and will fluoresce neon colored items well outside of their direct vicinity. That means you can hide the glaringly obvious purple light behind something and make some colors glow in the peripherals. You will not get that classic 80’s haunted house feel of “look at the lint in my cheap hoodie glow… look at your funky glowing yellow teeth!” I mean white cotton items will glow, but more so because you’re shining purple light on them, they’re not fluorescing a visible light wave from an invisible one. They are a very nice dark purple. This light alone could be utilized in a haunted house or at a party for a scenic effect. If you a good purple light, these are great. The housing and electronics are clearly made for RGB leds. A group of these leds are tied to each color channel. Setting red, blue, or green to max will turn on a series of these lights. To get them all on you need to set each color channel to max. There are no colors, to be clear, it’s just how the the remote is labeled. If you use the color chase feature, you can get three series of these lights fading in and out at different times, which is a neat unintentional effect. The housings are very cheap plastic. These are not intended to be used outside and, just in case you were considering it anyway, these are very not waterproof. They do feature DMX, which is odd. If you’re using these in a theater with a computerized lighting board or, more appropriately, a dj DMX console, these should work. I did not test the DMX features because I don’t have a spare ETC lighting board kicking around. There are a lot of hieroglyphics on the remote that serve seemingly no purpose, but I think they’re intended to be saved programs. Couldn’t make much sense of the manual. If you have some time to play with them, and want a very bright purple light with some fluorescents off in the wings, these will work. If you want that classic black light look, go with UV bulbs.

Can do s much more than I expected.
These lights are much more sophisticated than I was expecting. I purchased for home party use. For that purpose they are great, they give a good amount of light and have exactly the effect I want. They can also be connected to a much bigger system and there are tons of programmable options…much beyond my understanding. There is minimal assembly required to add the stand bars to them but that is both easy and intuitive. I can’t speak to their higher functions but for my purposes they are great!

    Nice and bright
We use black lights for our annual Halloween decorations, and unlike other LED black lights I’ve purchased, these are strong and bright. They’re very configurable and offer a variety of flickering speeds and brightness variations. There are no instructions on how to assemble the legs for the lights, but it’s pretty intuitive. And anything fluorescent or white glows really well in front of them. I’m very happy with these, and will probably end up ordering more.
