10 reviews for Atlantic Adjustable Height Satellite Speaker Stands, Tool-Free Height Adjustment from 27 to 49 inch, Heavy-Duty Powder-Coated

It looks thin & light but the base is heavy. Speaker wires can be channeled through the hollow stand, so it’s neat & tidy.Very good value because heavy items cost more to deliver. However, like all speaker stands, it’s not safe with children around; must definitely store away when your little cousins visit. Perfect for my pair of speakers (square base of 8 cm/3 in. Fits bigger speakers depending on how much you accept for it to stick out.Note: This is a generic holder – you must rig it for a secure mount.Ordered on Nov 30 (night) & arrived Dec 2 (am). Packed well & delivered promptly, in good condition.

Perfect fit for my Samsung 9.1.4 home system. Very stable and able to adjust on the height of the speakers. In order to hide the power cable, may need to get a new power cable as I need a little extension & able to run thru the centre pipe stand. Value for money.

Very good for the price but it could be better – not plug & play
I purchased the 9.2 system during black Friday weekend of 2020. I wanted to wait to review the item until using it for at least a full month. I opened the box and completed the set-up on Jan 3rd, 2021. Hoping to make this review a bit more comprehensive and helpful, I am providing star ratings and splitting the review into the 5 individual sections identified in CAP LOCKS below:1 – PACKAGING (5 Stars)The sound system came well packed and protected. The box was the perfect fit and included well written and comprehensive instructions to setup the sound system and troubleshoot it. All cables needed to make the sound system work are included. It also provides links and references to online resources. Nakamichi has nothing to envy from larger companies/brands on this topic. Well done!!!2 – SETUP (3 Stars)I am reviewing this based on the expectations from must people that expect to have a Plug & Play system that will work flawlessly out of the box. Although Nakamichi provides very clear setup instructions that include images/photos, this sound system is NOT Plug & Play. After completing the set-up following the easy-to-follow steps, I noticed that speakers were not working correctly; specifically, the sound coming out of the speakers was intermittent and not constant. There were also cracking random sounds. In addition, my Wi-Fi home network basically stopped working causing my internet speed to drop from 700 Mbps to less than 100 Mbps. Upon further research, I discovered that the sound system required a firmware update (which requires to have or purchase an USB drive with certain specifications) to troubleshoot this issue and potentially resolve it. Then, made the update but issues kept going. Then, realized that I had to activate a new “dedicated frequency” mode that was supposed to resolve the issue. It certainly helped but was still affecting the Wi-Fi home network. As a last resort, I decided to reset the sound system which seemed to work. When placing the soundbar in front of my 65 inch LG OLED TV, the soundbar was too high and was blocking about 1.5 inch of my TV, which required me to buy a stand to make my TV higher (not good since I believe this could be prevented at the product design phase). Well, it took me about 4 days to complete the setup and perform all the troubleshooting steps that finally allowed me to use and test the sound system.3 – FIRST 45 DAYS OF USE (4 Stars)When working correctly and without the Wi-Fi interference, this sound system battles pretty well with Bose and Sony sound systems that I owed before. When watching Dolby Atmos content, the 2 rear speakers tend to completely loose audio for seconds sporadically which ruins the experience a bit (I believe this has to do with the conflict of the 5Ghz Wi-Fi network issue I mentioned within the setup section above). Other content, other than Atmos (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.) works pretty well and sound quality is very good. I also tested the Bluetooth mode which I am not a big fan of since it basically utilizes the soundbar and it does not take good advantage of the other satellite 4 speakers. Initially I connected a PlayStation and a cable box to the HDMI ports of the soundbar but later decided to connect these devices directly to the TV because I had to turn on the sound system every single time, I wanted to use the connected devices but there were occasions when I did not want to use the sound system.4 – QUALITY OF SOUND AND HARDWARE (4 Stars)I believe that the sound quality is 5 stars when working correctly without the WiFi signal issues mentioned above. The display of the soundbar could certainly be better, perhaps a small touchscreen display may be installed into the soundbar instead of the small led indicators. The remote control is okay but, in my opinion, it could be simpler or have an option of a mobile app to use as a remote for advance functions. The satellite speakers need stands, I purchased the Atlantic Satellite Speaker Stands 27″- 48″ which seem fine for them. The built of the speakers seem to be good quality but the subwoofers are the star of the show. The subwoofers are well built and gives you outstanding bass (sad for me I am unable to take full advantage of the bass power due to living in an apartment and having close by neighbors). If considering a redesign for a future model, Nakamichi should consider not making the sound bar that tall and maybe come up with a flatter design.5 – FUTURE USAGE (3 Stars)I wrote this review after watching the movie “Judas and the Black Messiah” that has Dolby Atmos sound and is a recently released movie. As of today (Feb 21), the sound from the rear satellite speakers was still intermittent and not constant in various occasions of the movie. I wish this was not the case and that I could simply enjoy of constant Dolby Atmos sound. However, it still a better experience than watching the movie and using your TV’s speakers. I hope that Nakamichi comes up with software update that finally resolves this intermittent sound loss from the rear satellite speakers and completely fixed the conflict of 5Ghz WiFi signals between the wireless speakers and your 5Ghz WiFi home network. Because I have to learn to live with these ongoing issues that diminish the user experience, I had to rate this section 3 stars.

++++++THE RIGHT SPEAKER STAND FOR VIRTUALLY ANY HOME THEATRE SPEAKER SYTEM IN THE UNIVERSE ++++++++
I wanted to write this review because I had wasted a lot of time and effort in finding the right speaker stands (cheap but still comparable to the Bose stands) for my home theatre system. IF YOU DON’T HAVE TIME TO READ THE FULL REVIEW, JUST KNOW THAT WHATEEVER YOUR SPEAKER SYSTEM IS, THIS SPEAKER SYSTEM WILL BE THE RIGHT FIT FOR IT because these stands some with a variety of attachment options and they will surely fit your speakers. BUY WITHOUT HESITATION AND YOU WONT REGRET.I recently bought Bose Sountdtouch 520 home theater system and wanted to buy speaker stands for front and rear speakers. After spending about 1600 dollars for the home theatre system, I was not very keen on spending another approx. $300 for four speaker stands. That’s when I turned to tried and trusted Amazon to search for an economical yet a comparable alternative to the “original” Bose speaker stands!!!I came across many of them and was not sure which one will fit best. Tried to get answers/suggestions from previous users and the sellers/manufacturer on Amazon but didn’t get any definitive answers. Then I decided to take advantage of Amazon’s awesome return policy and thought of getting one pair of speaker stands and try them out myself. Finally after 4 weeks of contemplation, I decided to get the “Atlantic Satellite 77305018 2 Speaker Stands”. Thanks to Amazon Prime, they arrived within two days.I would like to list the pros and cons below:1. As soon as I lifted the package from front door, I knew its quality stuff because the package was very heavy.2. The rods and the base of the stands were made of cast iron of very good quality.3. The best thing I like about these stands is that they come with a huge variety of screws/supports/washers and other accessories (see attached images), which make it possible to use them virtually with any home theater system in the market.4. They have two iron rods with an adjusting hinge/screw that allows to adjust you the height of your speaker depending on the height and placement of your sofa/furniture in the room.5. The base is triangular in shape and pretty heavy. This prevents the stands from tipping if someone slightly nudges them while passing by.6. For 17 dollars per stand, I would say these are comparable to the ones Bose sells for 65 dollars apiece ( I saw and felt the original stands in Bose store before buying these).7. Bose sells a different type of “short” speaker stands for front speakers. But I would suggest to get these stands because that gives you freedom to adjust them as far as from the TV and you will not be limited by the size of your TV stand/table to place them. Also, you would be able to adjust height of the front speakers.8. The stand come with a detailed packaging list and pictorial instructions which explains use of these stands with varying type of speakers offered by different manufacturers.9. The black color has a matt finish and they look elegant in a room.Cons:1. The inner hollow space of the iron rods is very narrow and the ends are even narrower. I could not pass the proprietary Bose wires with connecters for speakers through this rod. But this is not a deal breaker as you can use Velcro or scotch tape to tie the wire with the stand rod.2. I cannot point out any other flaw in these stands so I would just write that they come only in two colors (black and white). Would have been great if they were available in red, magenta, yellow and pink ;)+++++Specific comments for Bose Sountdtouch 520 home theater system+++++If you have a Bose Soundtouch 520, use the stands as I did and you wont complain about it and would be glad to have saved $250 by not buying the Bose stands (these instructions may sound confusing but trust me that you will be fitting the stand effortlessly after you have them in front of you):1. Attach the iron rod to the base and tighten them with hand (if you use a plier, wrap some cloth around the rid before clamping the plier or you will scratch the rod).2. Put on the square base on top of the rod and tighten it with the provided screws (two screws labeled I-a).3. Before tightening the screws insert components labeled “E” and also put the components D1 trough “E”.4. Pass the Bose wire connector through the gap in component D1 (do not connect the speaker yet). I used D1 because the speakers a bit long. One can use D2 if the speakers are short.5. Now tighten the screws using a screw driver6. Peel of the cover from one side of the provided two-way adhesive tape and put it on the square base only on three sides (not including the rear side).7. Connect the wire to the speaker.8. Peel off the cover form other side of the tape.9. Carefully place the speaker on the tape, adjusting it in such a way that the component D1 touches the back of the speaker10. Use the fourth remaining two way tape to attach the back of the speaker to component D1 (do not peel off the other side of the tape, see photo).11. Use Velcro or invisible tape to keep the wires close to the stand. It is a reason to be skeptical about pasting your speakers on the tape because it will stay permanently. Even I was worried about that but then decided to use it on one speaker and see hoe it goes. I kept it for a week and then I did it for the second speakers also. Three weeks later I ordered another set for my front speakers also.GET THESE STANDS AND YOU WONT REGRET HAVING THEM!!!!!!

Fits Vizio M series 5.1 Plug
I purchased this for my Vizio m series 5.1 sound bar and it really works great. It should be sold in paid with the product to be honest. The cords snake nicely down the tube and you wouldn’t even know they had wires. The height is adjustable and it was easy to assemble. Instructions could’ve been clearer but I made it work. Definitely would recommend!

  8. Mike1111

    Solid and sturdy
    Very solid well made stands

  9. POWERFUL

Perfect for the Nakamichi shockwave ultra!
works perfectly nice solid base keeps stand sturdy in place very easy to put together.

  10. EA4Afterburner!

    Perfect!
Ordered these pair of stands for my Vizio satellite speakers and I must admit, they look like they were included with the Vizio 5.1 sound system! Stand mounts are of a nice design and are also hefty to boot. The base has a nice weight to them, not like the others where you have to add weight to keep it from tipping over. The 3 point felt tipped base should not have any issues with tipping over at all. Assembling the stands was very easy. Running the speakers wires through the tubing is as simple as pulling out the jacks for the speakers and loosening the screws that hold the positive and negative speaker wires. The connector should come out freely now. After doing that insert the speaker wires from the bottom of the stand ( you should have had the tubing threaded on by now) through the tubes and up and out the top. Pick the L-shape mount that best fits your application ( the taller of the pair worked for mine). Use the proper screws and washers that best fit your speaker. These are also included with the stands. I used the larger screws for my application but found that one of the screws would not screw into speaker. I thought it might be my speakers and that the threads might be off. I took one of the screws and it went in perfectly into both speakers. Thus it was a defective screw which meant a trip to the local hardware store. I brought one of the screws with me to get a size and thread that was as close to the original. (BAD IDEA)! If you have this issue it would be best to just bring the speaker with you instead of buying $5 worth of screws/ washers hoping that one of them will fit. I found a stainless steel screw (natural shiny steel) hoping to get a sharpie and color it black after mounting the speaker. I also bought some thicker (smaller diameter)- nylon washers to fasten everything together. There are so many options as to how you can mount your speakers and wires so I will leave that part alone. I do want to mention that those nylon washers came in handy when it was time to mount the speaker wires. I did not use the included double sided tape but I always have an assortment of different sized round felt stick on’s that I bought at Wal-Mart. I just padded the base of the speaker mount and put some on the L-shape bracket so that when you tighten the screw the bracket will not contact the speaker and scratch the surface. I decided that those shiny screws actually accentuated the looks of the speaker so I ended up not using the sharpie and coloring it black. Looks like it came from the factory that way! Looks awesome!Pros: Pricepoint is comparable to its competitors. If anything the Atlantic has the edge because there is not to many plastic parts, You shouldn’t have any problem with setting the height. Just hand tighten the plastic knob! Yes I do hundreds of pushups a day so I cannot stress the word ” handtighting” enough! If you do then you only have yourself to blame for stripping that- knob! Stay within the given speaker weight for this stand! It comes in two finishes, Black and Silver (natural metal).Cons: That defect in the screw might be an isolated incident. Lack of QC, but at this price point I am willing to overlook it. – Besides the chrome screws I installed in its place gives it character now! Looks better (at least to me) because it – accentuates the chrome finish on the front of the speaker grill. IMO. Summary: Buy it because it is functional and it looks great. Everything is included in the box from brackets to screws. If you want to personalize it and make it your own then go and buy these stands. There is that feeling of satisfaction when one can turn a small defect into something even more cool. Cheers & Aloha! Hope this review helps you in buying the right speaker stand for your application.
