    Works reasonably well for movies from older Macbook Pro to Samsung SyncMaster 24″ tv/monitorPicture and sound come across an hdmi cable plugged into this adapter with no sound or video lag. The price was great. Definitely worth the money.

    Worked Straight out the BoxThese Mini Display adapters worked perfectly straight out of the box. Running two LG 29 inch external monitors from a Microsoft Surface Book 3, using a standard Microsoft Surface Dock and HDMI cables.The Surface Book is putting out 3240 x 2160 Resolution.The LG Monitors max out at 2560 x 1080 Resolution.I would imagine greater resolution is possible up to 4K if your output source goes up that high, but this is good enough for my needs.

    Worked for what I needed it for – 2560 x 1080PI have an ultrawide 2560 x 1080 monitor and a Surface Pro 6. The Surface only has a mini displayport out so I bought this to plug into an HDMI 1.4 cable into my monitor.Works fine.

    4K@60hz now works with Lenovo W530 & Samsung TVI could not get the 60hz 4K to work.EditI tweaked the video card settings that was lower in the pixel count (lower than what the TV specs mentioned then it started working.

    It just works, after another vendor’s product failed TWICEThese types of adapters should just work, and this one does. I ordered a slightly less expensive one and it was defective. I sent it back for a replacement and the replacement was also defective, so I decided, “OK – if Amazon are willing to put their name on it, it will probably work.”Sure enough, it did! It works perfectly, allowing the use of an additional monitor for additional screen real estate since I had the spare monitor lying around. I am still amazed that this adapter is so inexpensive but it works. I’m going to be looking for more Amazon Basics items for now on because if this one is any example of the quality, I’ll be a happy customer.

    I’m not entirely sure that it worksIt works at least partially, so I suppose that I’ll keep it. I’m not convinced that it’ll work 100% of the time. It worked when I first plugged it in, then the screen went blue while the sound kept coming out of it.

    For laptops that opted for mini-DP rather than HDMIWorks good, laptop recognizes the screen with no issue, also does digital sound passthrough for 5.1+ systems.

    Compact & LightweightThis is a nice looking product – very compact and lightweight. Wouldn’t take up much desk space at all. Unfortunately I had to return it due to it having a USB c adapter, which is incompatible with my device. For the price and the size, I wish I didn’t have to return it. All I was shopping for was a mini displayport to connect my mintor to my surface pro, so this item with all the extras, at least for me, was a wonderful find. Good looking, sleek, lightweight, mutliple ports, and the price – great value!
