They look and sound great – Looks like a professional install. A++++++These 8″ Pyle speakers look great and sound wonderful.First the speakers arrived very quickly and with no damage whatsoever. We will be ordering more to complete our whole house project. What’s in the box:In each box you will find two speakers with grillsInstructions / installation bookletAdhesive pads if needed to re-attach the grill**Installation Tip** I had a hard time figuring how to remove the grill without bending it all to pieces. Simply flip the speaker over on your lap (you will be looking at the magnet side of the speaker). Flip out all of the plastic clips that holds it to the ceiling. Once you flip them out press down on them one at a time while holding the speaker up and the screws will drop down and push the grill out.We started with our surround sound in the living room. We installed the front surround speakers in the ceiling and with the adjustable tweeter it worked well for us. We also used these for the back speakers behind our seating area. For the installation of each, I knew approximately where I wanted the speakers so I used the old “knock and listen” technique to locate a joist. I found where I thought was the center and I drove a small nail into the ceiling (in case I was wrong I wouldn’t have a large screw or nail hole in my ceiling). I then pushed a thin piece of wire through the hole and then went into the attic to check my spacing between the joists. Once I located the center between the joists I measured from each wall to my small hole to make sure my other speaker lined up perfectly with this one.I took the piece of wire out of the ceiling and pushed it through the center of my template and then place the wire back through the hole on the ceiling. I marked around the template with a pencil and then cut out my circle. The speakers all slipped right into place, I tightened the screws, replaced the grill, ran my wires and hooked them all up and we now have surround sound in our ceiling.**Installation Tip 2** The first hole I cut on the inside of the line just in case the template was too large but for the other three I cut right on the line with a manual drywall saw and they fit perfectly. Just take your time and don’t rush the job and you will have outstanding results. We’re very pleased with the look. I’ve seen where some people painted theirs in order to have them blend into the ceiling but you really don’t notice ours and even if someone does, they look nice and look professionally installed. Like I said before we will be buying more to complete our whole house speaker system including a set of outdoor speakers on the front and back of the house and I will definitely use Pyle, you can’t beat the price.

Great for the moneyThe media could not be loaded.
For the price it’s not a bad product. Surprisingly does have a decent mid bass for my garage. However I WILL be adding a sub. The pivoting tweeters are absolutely perfect. Will more than likely be buying another set for my living room.

Sounds too good to be true (literally)I wanted to install speakers in the waiting room of my office but I knew my employer was not going to reimburse me for my expenses. That made price my main selection criteria. We had been using a small portable radio and I got tired of the customers changing the channel so I installed these speakers in the ceiling and put the receiver in an employee-only area. For my needs, these were perfect. I am a fairly handy DIYer but the installation was so simple with the included template that I believe anyone brave enough to cut into a ceiling tile with a utility knife would be able to handle it. Fishing the speaker wire through a wall into another room took the most time but, in total, I had these up in less than an hour including cleaning up my mess. The sound is fantastic. This probably does not perform like Bose but I didn’t pay a Bose price for them. For less than $50, I’d buy these again every year if that’s how long they last. They’ve been in for about 3 months now and our experience has been nothing but positive so far. And even though I did not get reimbursed, it’s worth it to me to have a high quality sound for the waiting room that can still be heard throughout the building. I’m completely satisfied with the purchase and I highly recommend them.

GreatThese are bada** for what they are… I was not expecting these to sound this good! I was expecting alright sound low but up high I expected them to sound crappy… nope I was wrong! They sound great up loud! Put them in a tanning bed room I just built and they’re prefect!

Still speechless at the sound quality!I will try to make this short and to the point. I have a brand new home that I had wired out prior to completion with the expectation of running ceiling speakers. After looking around and comparing prices from all over, I came across these. The ratings where high and the reviews all sounded great so I pulled the trigger and bought 4 sets of these allowing me to put two in the master beroom and the other two sets in the living room. After using the supplied cutout and marking off the hole all that was left was to make the cuts and hook them up. Each unit took roughly 5-10 minutes to put in the ceiling. The units were very well constructed and the cardboard template was very nice rather than the flimsy paper ones that some supply. As for the sound, WOW! That’s all I can say. I hooked these up to my roughly 4 year old yamaha and that rocked out hitting notes that were high all the way down to mid’s and lows. I turned my sub off to see what kind of bass these would put out and it was very good and not distorted even at almost maxed out levels on the reciever. If your looking to spend money on ceiling speakers and don’t want to spend a fortune but want great sound, these are for you! I would buy these again without even thinking twice. Hope this helps

Easy installation, excellent sound quality for the price.Installation is straight forward and easy – cut using the template, click to lock in place and you’re ready to install the wiring and bring them to life. With a directional center tweeter, you can aim the output to a particular position in the room. In my setup, I have them connected to an 7.1.4 Atmos system configured as front/rear top speakers. For a small (15′ X 18′) space, they are the perfect speakers to compliment your surround sound system.

So far a pretty amazing value, relatively decent sound especially for the price point. So I paid between 25 and 30 dollars for a pair of the 5.25″ size. I’ve toyed with electronics for most of my adult life and have listened to speakers from every size and price range. I’ve never heard speakers this cheap sound so good. Granted they are not excellent sound quality but for what I paid they are relatively amazing. If you’re just looking for bare budget and want something that performs in the medium-low to medium sound quality you can’t go wrong. Installation was relatively easy if you’re used to doing ceiling/crawlspace work.
