Description
The Boltzen 55w Video Light includes an adjustable Fresnel lens to help focus the light and provide a longer throw. When used without the lens, the light becomes a wider flood and the included barn doors help to control the spill. This versatility allows you to go from a tight spot to a wide flood all in one continuous light. The Boltzen 55 Watt video light shares the exact same housing as our Boltzen 30w Fresnel with the exception of a built in cooling fan to dissipate the extra heat. Our fan is barely audible at a distance of 1 meter. The CAME-TV Boltzen 55w Fresnel Video Light light can be powered from AC (with included power adapter), NP Series battery or V-Mount battery via the included V-Mount adapter cable providing convenient use on set and on location. (NP Series battery and V-Mount battery are NOT optional accessories and are NOT included with this listing).

Great versatile light in a small packageThis is a great value for the price. The light is very powerful for its size. About the same size as 70-200mm lens which makes it very portable. It doesn’t require a massive ballast and can operate on Sony NPF batteries or D-tap from a V-mount battery so its nice to have options for power. The build is solid but I would be cautious when mounting accessories to the light. I mounted a 30 nch Neweer octobox to this and there was a slight flex on the lens of the light. Nothing alarming but noticeable. The output of the light without diffusion is similar to a Arri 300 to the naked eye. For a one man run and gun setup, this is an ideal light.

The option for common Sony 970 batteries, built in barn doors, easy set up, and soon-to-come Bluetooth control set it above the competition. Color quality is excellent and light output about what you’d expect for this price. Focused in it produces about as much light as a 100w studio light; you loose a stop at its widest. However, the narrow beam is pretty narrow (a 6-foot throw produces about a 2 foot circle of light), making quite a hard light. At it’s widest, you’ve got about double the coverage.

i call came tv they were nice ask me to send it but will cause me …it did not make it to 1 year yet when the battery connector for np battery broke of one 1 side . i call came tv they were nice ask me to send it but will cause me more to ship. i let my local store to fix it it back to work. the usb wifi turn on and of does not work all that great when your phone goes to sleep it loses connection , then you must unplug and replug in and than reconnect. over all i will not buy this product again till they beef up the np connector plug. example of a great light is my Z96 led light i bought in 2013, 2 of them it take np batteryalso i drop so many times with the battery on still working and the connector still good as new.
