L-Acoustics to spotlight Source Intelligence and CS1 at InfoComm 2026

Background and context

L-Acoustics is returning to InfoComm 2026 with a focus on new sound reinforcement tools for live and installed environments, following its recent Keynote 2026 showcase at the Hollywood Bowl. The company will exhibit in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from 17–19 June, with products split between a technology-focused booth (stand N6336) and a controlled listening space (audio demo room N107).

The appearance comes shortly after the introduction of the L1 and L1D line source arrays and the CS1 subwoofer, which have already been permanently installed at the Hollywood Bowl. InfoComm provides the first broad trade show platform for L-Acoustics to present these systems and related processing tools to integrators, rental companies and venue operators.

Key announcement

The main product debut at the show is the CS1, a large-format cardioid subwoofer designed to partner with the flagship L1 array. The CS1 uses four 21-inch drivers in a cardioid configuration to direct low-frequency energy toward the audience area while reducing sound radiation behind the array, a key consideration for noise-sensitive sites and multi-stage events.

In audio demo room N107, L-Acoustics will conduct live sessions of Source Intelligence, a new real-time vocal enhancement platform. Running as licensed software on the L-ISA Processor II, Source Intelligence applies machine learning to separate the primary voice signal from surrounding sound in a microphone feed. The processing aims to reduce bleed from PA systems, audience noise, stage instruments and room reverberation, with the goal of improving vocal clarity and available gain before feedback.

The demo room will also host L-Acoustics DJ, an immersive playback solution for DJ performances. The system converts a traditional stereo DJ output into a three-dimensional sound field without requiring artists to change their usual workflow. At InfoComm, it will be demonstrated on an A10 Focus and Wide loudspeaker system with KS21 subwoofers.

Demo sessions are scheduled on 17 and 18 June at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00, and on 19 June at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00, with access limited to room capacity.

Industry impact

For sound engineers and system designers, Source Intelligence represents a different approach to vocal management compared with conventional dynamics, gating or manual mixing techniques. If it performs as described in real-world conditions, it could ease some of the pressure on operators working in loud or acoustically challenging venues, particularly in touring, house-of-worship and corporate event applications.

The CS1 subwoofer, meanwhile, addresses increasing regulatory and planning constraints around low-frequency spill from large-scale events. By building cardioid behavior into a dedicated companion sub for the L1 system, L-Acoustics is targeting projects where both audience coverage and off-site noise control are critical design criteria.

On the installation side, the company will also show its compact Xi Series loudspeakers, including the X6i and X8i short-throw coaxial models, with a range of mounting options intended for fixed integration. Electronics on display include the L-ISA Processor II, LA1.16i and LA7.16i amplified controllers, the P1 Milan-AVB processor and measurement platform, the LS10 AVB switch and the LC16D network audio converter.

Why this matters

InfoComm has become a primary venue for introducing new audio technologies to the broader AV integration market, beyond the traditional touring and live music sectors. L-Acoustics’ decision to focus on Source Intelligence, CS1 and immersive DJ implementation underlines the growing overlap between entertainment sound design and installed AV projects such as clubs, themed venues and experiential spaces.

For event technology professionals, the developments on show in Las Vegas highlight several trends: tighter control of low-frequency energy, machine learning applied to live sound mixing, and a push to deliver immersive experiences without adding complexity for operators and performers.
