    Great Desktop Amplifier
I bought a few cheap Hi-Fi amps to try out at once for my desktop speaker system. I have a 10″ Klipsch R-100SW sub and emotiva B1+ speakers. This amp was the best sounding by a decent margin. Compared against Audioengine N22, AYIMA T9Pro and the Douk Audio X1. Audioengine was the warmest but with what seemed to be poorer detail, the other two were great on detail but very bright and sterile. The Douk Audio I would say was the worst. The SMSL was the best of the bunch. I also use both analog inputs 1 for my TV and 1 for my PC. Having 2 inputs is also a great feature.

    Wow!
I initially paired the A300 with an inexpensive dac and the sound was good. But I figured I should at least try a better dac and so I bought a smsl sankrit 10 mkiii dac. Wow! Driving klipsch RP 600m speakers and the sound is fantastic. Watch the iiwi review – spot on.

    Way Too Complicated To Setup!
First of all the unit comes with a user guide using 4 pt text (teeny, tiny) written in Pigeon-English. And making it worse the menus are printed in dark green over black boxes. No one at my house could read this, and if you can’t read it, you have no way to set it up.The unit has s tiny screen and dozens of nested menu settings and there is NO EXPLANATION for how to navigate the menus. After hours of fiddling the many switches and menus, the amp has a loud buzz, and only one channel worked. There is no Support Contact on the SMSL website. This product is massively over complicated compared to other ClassD amps. It is filled with features of dubious usefulness and the worst User Guide I’ve ever seen. Any bother when there are so many better products available?
