No bass at all.No good without a receiver. No bass at all. Claims 250 watts, don’t hear it at all. No good sound. Installed in LR & BR ceiling. Get much better sound from surround sound speakers connected to TV.

Great so far!I took off a star because the sound isn’t incredible. But let me be clear, for the money it sounds pretty good. Anyone claiming the sound is so bad they are unusable is clearly not considering that they are $79.99. If you are testing them on the floor before you install them they aren’t going to sound great because that’s not the direction the sound is meant to come from. When they are elevated and placed in the ceiling they sound much better. If you are looking for a Bose system I suggest you buy one. This is very good for what it does and for the price. My phone has had zero problems connecting to them. Also, I suggest if using an iPhone to go to iTunes settings and change it to “rock” if it’s not already on that. Sound comes out cleaner on that setting

Great Value 8” In-Ceiling SpeakersThese speakers are big. The installation was easy but requires a tools that people may not have like an electric saber saw to cut the hole in the ceiling if made of wood. If sheet rock it’s no problem – just use a sheet rock hand saw. The speaker wire included is very small in gauge so I used some 16 gauge wire I had on hand. The wiring connections were simple and the Bluetooth connection was fast and worked without disconnection for more than 2 hours. Sound quality is remarkably good. In my case there is a chamber behind the speakers in the ceiling which I’m sure helped with generating some bass. Treble is very clear and there is plenty of upside on volume beyond normal listening levels. Overall I’m happy I bought these speakers. The kit was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. I will update this review in a few months.

Unbelievable!! Sound qualityThese sound awesome for the money. Mounted these under our farmers porch overhang and they sound great. I can’t imagine anything sounding better. 3/4 volume on my phone is perfect for just hanging out. Mounting was easy and if you don’t want a receiver and just want to play music on your phone these are perfect.

These are virtually perfect.These have to be the best ceiling speakers for the money on Amazon. Easy to install. I recommend plugging them to a switch Plug in your attic. For me, an electrician, this was very easy. To have an electrician install these shouldn’t cost more then a few hundred dollars. Don’t get me wrong, there are better sounding speakers. But me and my family have been VERY satisfied with the quality of these. So nice to not have bt speakers cluttering/taking up counter space!

Excellent speakers for my purposes!I bought these speakers to go in the ceiling on my back porch, I wanted simple Bluetooth speakers that I could control from my phone and didn’t require a receiver and these fit the bill! The sound quality is not great in comparison to a JBL or Bose speaker but it’s not awful at all however, I expected that for the price and I couldn’t find any “high end” speakers that didn’t require a receiver of some sort. Let’s get back to the sound quality of these speakers though, it’s pretty decent, there is no cracking or anything like that even when the volume is turned all the way up and they get pretty loud, I can hear them clearly in the back of my property which is about 150 yards from my house. I’ve had the speakers installed in the ceiling on my back porch since May 2019, we live in central Florida so humidity is a big deal and so far I’ve had no problems with them, they’ve been great, meeting and exceeding my expectations with almost daily use. As far as installation goes, I’m clueless as my husband installed them, he didn’t complain about them but he’s quite handy so I’m not sure how helpful that is. Overall, I highly recommend these speakers for the purpose!

Great dealThese are awesome for $80. That said, I installed mine in a new construction patio cover. Info that’s not readily available in the description is that there’s a Bluetooth module that needs to plug in to a typical 115 outlet. The module is small, maybe 1.5″x4″. The module cord is 3 to 5 feet long… I don’t really remember. From the module, speaker wire goes to the speakers. So they’re not “wireless”. You definitely need to run wire. As far as their function, they are great. They get loud and sound quality is good. I framed “boxes” with about 2 cubic feet of air. By boxes I mean I installed fire blocks in the rafter bays on either side of the speaker. They’re not sealed but they do sound pretty good. I’m not sure if I hindered the bass or not since I installed both speakers in my “boxes”. The bass is reasonable but I if I were to do it over I would try it without the boxes. Just for curiosity. They sound good the way they. Would buy again. No issues connecting to the Bluetooth.
