Like it so much I bought 2 more…I work on guitars.. quite a bit and over the past decade moved to almost all MusicNomad cleaning product. I hadn’t really tried the tools but picked up this kit. It’s amazing, everything you need to work on almost every guitar from an attachment perspective. It was so handy I ordered two more to give to my best friends. Definitely a great kit that you can use it home or throw in a case/bag and take it with you.

Great tools, average caseI gifted this product to a family member who is a huge guitar fan. He builds/fixes up guitars all of the time. He has raved about the tools that come with this product. The only downside is the case. The case is plastic and feels cheap. It barely stays closed and pops open sometimes. If the case were better plastic, or even metal, this product would for sure be 5 stars.

Small and plasticThis is functional… but it’s severely overpriced for what you get. The case itself is no longer than 6 inches. You get a screwdriver handle and a bunch of driver bits for $50. The bits won’t function without the extention. This should in reality of value, have been around $20-25. Very disappointed. The picture made the product look better than it actually is

Small and compactHandy item for average guitar maintenance but honestly you could buy a small ratchet set and keep a couple of screwdrivers or one of those multi tip screwdrivers that have the four bits built in and would be all you need for basic guitar maintenance

Exactly what it is….well designed and simple.First off, I already have a set of tools for my guitars (12 total. 4 bass, 8 guitars, all variously tuned from Standard to Drop-C). Secondly, I already have several Music Nomad supplies (Spanner wrench, single Octopus tool w/o the bits, Peg Winder, Tune-it, Mat and Cradle set) with more to be added to my maintenance tool kit for my “armory” (I don’t consider myself and enthusiast anymore). Not much to say bout it. It came shrink wrapped with a label/sticker describing what it was. Well thought out, and comes with just about every screwdriver bit needed for a self set-up for a guitar (USA or Import). The Octopus replaces the socket set I have, and is soft enough to not scratch up the finishes on any of my guitars. Kinda wish the screwdriver was ratcheting type, but that’s a preference and doesn’t take away from the quality. The bit holder extension was a nice touch, along the the sturdy case. Hefty, and well built.Well done, MusicNomad.

Good – Not PerfectThe case is aluminum with a good hinge. Has all of the nut drivers you’d need to do a setup and routine maintenance on your guitars. The nut driver handle has five wrench sizes molded into it. These are good for things like your input jack and tuners. The plastic is very hard, but you WILL round out the wrenches if you’re not very careful. I’m removing a star for this – the manufacturer should replace this with a metal driver handle. For $40 I think this is a fair expectation. The driver bits are definitely not the highest quality toolings I’ve seen but should be OK. You could put together a similar tool kit yourself from Harbor Freight for about $25. The additional $15 is the premium you’re paying for having someone else do the legwork for you.

Excellent PurchaseI own many electric guitars. When I ordered this tool kit, I was actually a little skeptical, even though I’d purchased it. Well, having lived with this toolkit for 6 months now, I’ve got to admit it’s extremely handy. From bridge setups, to intonation, to pickguard replacements to installing strap locks…etc. I never seem to need to need anything this which isn’t included in this kit. I’d highly recommend it for anyone who’s looking for a small but extremely handy guitar toolkit.

** update ** .after months of usagewould be better if not made out of plastic…after a few month of use , screwdriver bits are starting to chip off , showing that they are poorly made , same with the hexagonal plastic screwdriver .. why make it in plastic i the first place ..? it’s just isn’t sturdy to last after a few usage …! this kit is way overpriced and sadly there are better tools that are not poorly made on the market which are not marketed for guitars in the first place
