  1. Sav

Love itLoved this lens! Great auto focus, great buy for not spending a big chunk of money

  2. Stevie G

Hit or missAt first, I was impressed with my purchase. Yes, the auto focus is a bit loud… and yes, it does hunt to focus. Taking into account the price, I was okay with that. After extensive testing of this lens (approx. 600 shots), I see issues with picture quality. Under certain lighting conditions, the picture quality competes well with my more expensive lenses. If the angle of the same light is altered, several changes to the picture quality occurs. First, the introduction of chromatic aberration (purple, blue, red) around vertical contrasting lines that not even Lightroom can correct. Secondly, hazing/flat looking images.Overall, I find about 60% of the images taken with this lens to be useful.Unfortunately, I’ve had the hardship of discovering this outside of my AMAZON return window.

Quickly becoming a favorite lensI bought this due to price and need for a better portrait specific lens. I have been impressed. The more I shoot with it, the more its value becomes apparent. Was a worthy, valid purchase. Had never heard of the brand before, but took a chance and was rewarded. I must agree with other shooters though that it can be rather indecisive on AF, almost acting as if it is second guessing itself. In manual its easy to be spot on and just as quick. Seems to work better outdoors and brings out magnificence in shots. I find it to be wonderfully sharp with incredible depth of field and bokeh that delights clients. It may not be from a big brand, but I don’t feel I’m missing a thing.

  4. Christopher Bullock

I love this lens, a tad noisy, but overall an absolute great buy!A great lens for the money!

  5. Charles Rice

Great price for the moneyEveryday pictures

  6. Jonathan Miller

Great PicturesNot a professional but wanted to try a fixed length lens instead of the zoom lens that come with most kit SLR cameras.Cannot justify the pricey Nikkor lens since I just play with my camera so bought this lens. The images are great. There is some more motor noise compared to Nikkor lens so as other reviewers have said if you plan to use the lens for video this may not be for you. If you have an external mic instead of the built in camera mic you may be able to use the lens though. The low F-stop is great for lower light pictures.

  7. John Walton

For the price it is great so far. IWorks well on Nikon 810. Fast focus. Bright. Good detail.

  8. nodar

Works on nikon D3500. Love itGood and cheap

  9. Juan Huertas

Best lens for the price.Great looking lens. I love how sleek it looks and simple. It came with a lens hood (that’s a plus) and a soft microfiber bag for storage.Let’s talk about how it works. The manual focus is great, very precise. The autofocus is great but a bit noisy. Not a problem if you are just into taking pictures but for videos you will need an external microphone. I uploaded some samples using a Nikon D3500, so it’s great for entry and intermediate levels.Overall, I really recommend this lens 100%. Perfect for portrait and landscape. Great price with great performance. I’m really satisfied with this lens.
