I didn’t know that speakers could develop an oil leak! – Updated to 5 starAmazed me that the speaker started to leak oil! after which the BT connection was crackly and shut down after a few minutes. I return this one for a replacement. Hope the replacement will not do this! Great sounding speaker in any case.UPDATE:I contacted JBL and was told they never heard of this. So I must have a manufacture defect. I returned/replaced and the new one is awesome. I set up a stereo pair and connected a 15″ Rockville sub to both. What an amazing setup.Bluetooth connects and holds the connection forever. (Other cheaper brands I have tried seem to drop the connection after 15 – 20 minutes.) The four EQ settings work well. I keep mine on music even though they tell you if you have a sub, place it in “speech” eq setting.These things are a beasts. No regrets.JBL: It would be awesome if you could make the speakers re-configure as a stereo pair if that was their previous configuration.

Less than expected!I bought this speaker for backyard barbecue events like 4th of July!This speaker did not meet my expectations, the Bluetooth works fine, which was my main concern, but I thought it would be louder, when I turn up the volume there is no sound till the halfway point and at its peak, I expected more.The bass is underwhelming, even with the bass boost on it dosen’t have that low bottom end sound I was hoping for.My son who is a DJ agrees.One of his speakers has more volume set at a quarter volume, and way more bottom end. Granted his speakers are double the price, but for JBL I was expecting more.This sound other than the bass is crisp and clear, and can be fine tuned with a good equalizer ap for a smartphone.I plan on pairing it with a small subwoofer to get that bottom end I’m missing!

Feedback suppression is pretty good!I used this unit for a Presentation gig (projector, presenter, lav mic) in a room of 75 people. The room was setup wide, not long, so there was no option to place the speaker forward of the presenter. It was just to the side of the screen with the presenter on the opposite side. The cheap wireless lav would feedback frequently with my cheap PA speaker while this JBL unit kept the feedback at bay. I’m quite satisfied, as was the client. I had the second speaker connected at one point to distribute the volume but the sound quality was such that it was best to just go with the JBL for the whole room.

Speaker delivers!!!This speaker is not supposed to be hooked up for long periods of time without use so hook it up to a power bar with an on and off switch.The speakers Bluetooth hooks up easily to my TCL tv after you download official Roku app. So far,this speaker is doing just what I wanted now I gotta see how it holds over time ⏳

Awesome speakerI love music and won’t spend money on myself . My wife and best friend seen to I had one of these . The sound is amazing . It’s not that expensive but you have DJ quality sound that’s portable and if you need it – will crank .
