Fun camera once you learn it.So far I am really enjoying this camera. Its the “funnest” camera ive ever owned. Ive had DSLRs, DSLM, and other smaller cameras but this one makes me want to go out and shoot. Its fun editing the 360 footage and seeing all you can do with it. Its not perfect, but neither is a GoPro.The app:App is pretty friendly once you figure it out. I recommend cutting your videos first, then downloading to your phone before making a story. If you try to make a story without downloading locally, itll take FOREVER to export. When filming, i find its best to use the phone to frame (if using the 4k lens) but i stop the recording with the camera button. The app froze on me a few times when i tried to stop recording on the app.The camera:Nice and compact. I love that its modular. I already can think of scenarios where i would need both lenses. I heavily debated the 1 inch mod, but i think it works not having it because the footage will match more if using both lenses to make a video. The 1 inch would be far superior to the 360 and might make the videos look weird. Battery lasts me around an hour or so shooting pretty constant on and off.Stabilization:So far its pretty good. Much better on the 360 lens. Dont record in HDR if you are shooting action shots, itll look very odd, shakey, etc. HDR mode can be used when you want to do time lapses, wide “cinematic” shots of mountaind, skies, etc. When in motion use normal mode.

ONE R is the best action camera I’ve ever owned!I found out about this camera when I was watching a YouTube tech review. I immediately fell in love. I’m obsessed with capturing video of all of my activities. And I live a very active lifestyle so I’m always on the go.I’ve only had a few days to test this thing out but I can already say that I’m blown away! My problem is that I’ve never been good at taking videos. With my GoPro, my framing is wrong a lot of the time and I can never quite capture the moment properly, leading to a lot of unusable clips and frustration. This camera lets me capture everything without having to worry about missing anything. I tried a 360 camera a couple of years ago but couldn’t take it too seriously because the quality wasn’t up to par with the latest cameras and even cell phones. The quality on ONE R is fantastic! I can also shoot high frame rate footage which is awesome when I go mountain biking or snowboarding!Another great thing about this camera is the fact that you can change your settings to get the perfect shot. A lot of the settings on my GoPro are fixed, so you get what you get. The test clips I shot were all in auto which looked fantastic!I’m OBSESSED all of smart features in the app. In general the app is super easy to learn and there are a TON of “WOW” features packed in. After you shoot your footage, you can pull up these pre-programmed automated editing templates that essentially make you into a professional editor. There is one in particular that lets you create an automated “stop motion” effect by selecting one of your video files! I haven’t seen in any other action camera.I showed ONE R to some of my friends who work on TV shows and they said 360 cameras are becoming really popular for filmmakers across the board! I’m excited to use it more and create some really incredible videos!

Excellent 360 degree camera.The camera is great for 360 degree video. It runs very smooth when connected to my phone. The app works great as well. I initially had difficulties with the software and editing 360 video. It would skip or have difficulty processing the video. It seems that even though I can edit 4K or 1080p video on my laptop or desktop with Adobe Premiere Pro, more power is necessary when doing 360 video. So for this I gave it only 4 stars. Otherwise, I love the camera. There is only one thing that still puzzles me and that is that my phone works well with the video processing. So I’m not sure why my computers wouldn’t. Perhaps there is something in the phone editing software that makes it more efficient in processing power, or perhaps it is because there aren’t as many editing features on the phone software. In either case, I would still highly recommend the camera despite these problems.

Compact and ModularThis device was released around the summer of 2020, but I purchased the twin edition of this action camera about a month ago after waiting for firmware releases, and bugs to be worked out for the past few months. The big selling point for me was the modularity that this product offers. So far, the most use I’ve had was using the dual-lens to create some really great videos with little effort and the ability to edit from your mobile device with relative ease. Only drawbacks I’ve noted so far is the lens flare caused by direct sunlight that shows up and is noticeable on the video as well as that the camera produces a proprietary file format by default and you’ll need to convert it to MP4 at some point during post.

Know the difference between ONE R and X2 | Both are good.First off you should also look into insta 360 X2 camera if your only reason to buy this is for 360 camera. This camera is REALLY good, but X2 is just a tad better for 360 videos.Pros of this camera:1. Modularity2. Form factor3. One inch mod, 4K mod and 360mod in one camera.Cons:1. Stitch line in 360 mode is a little bit noticeable.2. Screen is difficult to access with One Inch mod on.3. Looses detail a little bit when you reframe 360 video. Still it looks REALLY good. I’d say except 1080p video when you reframe.

Stick with Go ProWait until you buy the 360 and then you will find out you cannot operate the camera without the app. The app may take pretty much forever to use as it may not want to communicate with your cell phone – so before you buy look on their website to see if your phone is compatible. Even if it does, you must try for several hours trying to convince the app to communicate with your cell (mine is a Galaxy S10e – it finally relented). Then came the opportunity to continue the struggle – looking for the serial number so you can open an account – or just so you will know the serial number. It is supposed to be in the camera info section – if it is, the account application is not recognizing it. Look on the box?? There are three different numbers on the box – the app will not accept any of them. This, as with covid, is another gift from china, stick to the Go Pro, you will have the opportunity to use the camera right away, something you can appreciate.

Best 360 camera on the marketAbsolutely love it, it arrived within 4 days. Which is awesome cause if you purchase from Insta360 it can take nearly a month or longer to receive your order. Came in perfect condition works great with my Samsung Note 8 when connected to the app. Let me mention that the app is my favorite part. Editing is so easy, and super fun. All I can say is wow the shots you can capture with this cam is insane. So glad I bought it and can’t wait to get some more footage. Buy one you won’t regret it, this is a camera that just raised the bar.

Didn’t last 6 monthsI bought this camera for real estate videos. It is not user friendly for someone over the age of 40. The training videos do not help much. Initial set up was difficult, I was really looking for something more ready out of the box. It took me about a month to figure out how to get a decent video and I never really did figure out how to get the edited version out of the app. The online app was worse. The buttons are hard to push in the case you have to use to use a tripod and the screen is hard to see and navigate. The still pics were great, but the videos were hit & miss. I’m fairly tech savvy for my age/profession, and this was daunting for the first 3 months until I hired a 16 year old to do the editing for me in a different software program – then he was really restricted with captioning, etc, but he could edit. So, 5 months later, I go out to shoot a listing and after charging it to full in the morning, it won’t turn on. Won’t charge, nothing. Very disappointed.
