No instructions, poor customer service.
Overall I listed 3 stars and 4 for value. The controller seems to have the same features and control layout as most others I have seen. The par lights that come in this set feel a little cheap but I expected that from the price. They do work and the light output seems ok. It would be nice if they had the ability to daisy chain the power from one par light to the next the same way the dmx cables do. The set came with the brackets to mount the lights and cables for the dmx connection between the lights.My biggest any only real issue with the system is the lack of setup instructions. There was nothing to start from. After several YouTube videos and reading some information I found on the internet I am starting to get them to function as I want. There are several other settings on the lights I skip past because I’m not sure what they do. While I’m making use of them i am still likely missing out on some functionality they offer. This is the reason I lowered the number of stars to 3.The seller emailed the instructions to me after request. They were for the controller only.If you are new to DMX they may not be real clear. There are several YouTube videos on this controller and others that look exactly the same to show how to set it up. Still did not get anything for the light heads. Have not found the same heads on any videos. Requested instructions for them from seller have gone back and forth with them with out any instructions. They told me to set them as instructed then send a video to show the problem. Hard to set as instructed when the whole request is asking for instructions. I have dropped to 2 stars due to poor customer service. I will continue to update the review and rating as it develops.It took a lot of back and forth but I did get the instructions for the PAR lights. They show what the different settings are for. Now after seeing several videos on the different DMX functions I think having this will allow me to set them up correctly. I set some quick address settings on them and connected to the controller they will change with it. There is a channel for brightness, red, green, blue, one that revolves through the color wheel, a strobe function. I have raised my star rating back up to 3.

Cheap, effective, and entry level
I bought a USB DMX connector and controlled lights with my laptop during live electronic performances. I actually picked these into a suitcase and brought them on tour with me around the USA. I was able to program the lights to play during my live sets (Ableton + Lightkey App).These are a lot more effective when you can add a bit of stage smoke to the room, otherwise they’re just harshly bright.Pros: bright, lightweight, can be rigged to a computer with extra partsCons: the instructions are terrible, no documentation on any websites, the controller is kinda useless, they’re very cheaply made, sometimes too bright and not vibey enough.

Useless instructions. If you don’t know DMX don’t buy this! – READ MY UPDATE BELOW
I purchased this system in October 2018. I immediately noted that the instructions are terrible. I requested better instructions from the seller so they sent me copies of exactly what I already had. I’ve watched every You Tube video on DMX and had 3 people with some knowledge of these systems try to help me get it set up and running. It’s now April 2019 and I still can’t get it going. Don’t waste your money. Spend a few extra bucks for a better system from a reputable manufacturer.UPDATE – I’M UPDATING MY REVIEW AND ADDING 4 STARS. THE SELLER WAS ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT. THEY CONTACTED ME IMMEDIATELY. WE EMAILED BACK AND FORTH WITH INFO RE MY PROBLEMS AND THEY DETERMINED THE CONTROLLER AND SEVERAL LIGHT FIXTURES WERE FAULTY. THEY IMMEDIATELY OFFERED TO SEND OUT REPLACEMENT PARTS. THE NEW EQUIPMENT ARRIVED TODAY AND WORKS PERFECTLY. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE STILL TERRIBLE AND I ENCOURAGED THEM TO IMPROVE THEM. BEYOND THAT, I’VE LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT DMX FROM FRIENDS AND YOU TUBE THAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING WITH SYSTEM IN A LIVE SITUATION. I RECOMMEND THIS SYSTEM WITHOUT RESERVATION AND WOULD DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SELLER ANYTIME. THEY’RE EXCELLENT.

Mixed feelings
We were very excited about this upgrade of our stage lighting. I find myself having to reset the codes on the lights. This is a real issue when the lights are on a fixed truss nineteen feet above the ground. I recently returned from traveling and a few of the lights no longer respond to the presets. They come on but are not responding the the basic controller commands.

DMX controller is spot on and works great. Although instructions provided were in broken English and hard to read. Went online and found a better instruction manual.Updating this review to a 4 star. I did not like that the lights came broken. However, they did contact me after leaving review and replaced all lights quickly. Thank you customer service for your speedy replacement.All replacement lights work with no issues. Just reccoment you check these lights before they ship out to ensure proper working.

Great Package for Stage Performances
These lights and controller are exactly as described. They are bright and easy to assemble on the 2 stands I purchased separately. I am still figuring out the controller and will probably have to go on line to get some help there. The best thing about this purchase was that one of the lights was defective and after an email to the supplier explain the defect another light was sent right out. I received it and made the gig with all 8 lights working. Great company to work with. I cannot praise them enough for their service. I expect to get at least 4 to 8 more lights from them soon.

Great product for the price
Great product for the price. The lights seem a little flimsy, but they do throw off a lot of light. Be careful when plugging them into each other. Too much pressure can break the fixture.The instructions that come with the system is difficult if you have no prior knowledge of a DMX system. I watched a number of videos on youtube to figure it out (much more of a visual hands-on learner). Overall, happy with the product.

Does not last
Very disappointed in this whole product. I built this light set for a local church Musical and by the time we had the show 5 out of the 8 lights stopped working. I called customer service with no help. Had to spend extra money out of my packet to make sure there were working lights for our production. Very upset will never buy from this company again!!! And I buy and install and program for small theater groups throughout Pennsylvania.
