So far so good recording PCI have learned to dislike screen capture software for its unreliability. I wanted to use a simple hardware that was under $100 and I wanted it to operate stand alone and to record to an SD card. It didn’t like my 64gb card, probably because it doesnt read exFAT, but when I popped in the 32gb card it worked like a charm. Very simple. Press a button to start recording. Press it again to stop. You get reliable capture at 1080p.Max file size is 1.95gb, which is about 15 minutes at 1080p, so it will create another file if recording goes beyond that. This is actually a good thing for reliability and there should be no loss between files.I recorded sound through the mic input for a test file. The HDMI is the better bet here. If you’re needing to record voice over along with your capture, and you are concerned about audio quality, I would maybe do that on another device that is more suitable for audio capture, but it does work.I’ll try to update as I get more use out of this.——Update August 2021It’s still going. I don’t use it daily, but I record stuff whenever I need to with a quick press of a button. The one thing you can NOT do is move the device or cables around while it is in operation. Let it be still. The cables need to be steadily connected. Nice device.

Its a AV/ to HDMI convertor, that records!!!Its a AV/HDMI convertor/ MY use recording tv shows it makes big files 4gig per 1hr . Very high quality HD mp4 . Ive recorded on 64gig thumb drive. Don’t know the max HD size.Remote works , wish I knew the connector for the AV, plug ?? Or how to get another one . Ive installed on win10,win7,and winxp , and never got the software to work . So if you want a push button recorder , by remote or on box. This is what you need

I had to to RegisterStill trying to get it working. Thought I’d register so that maybe I could gain access to the firmware. Hoping that after re-installing the firmware, it might actually record. Since record doesn’t work, trying to get ‘good’ drivers so that I can record to PC instead.

Does not record audio consistentlyThe camera quality is good, that’s not the issue. The fact is the audio does not record about half the time you use it, and the video quality degrades if you record longer than 15 minutes. There is little to no information out about the Pyle brand and the instruction manual is in broken English. I was unable to figure out how to get the sound to function properly and when I asked about this issue on Amazon, the only response I got was “Yeah I’m having that issue too.” Returned immediately.

TRANSFER OLD VIDEOS TO MP4VERY GOOD PRODUCT TO TRANSFER OLD VIDEOS FROM VHS’S OR DVD’S TO MP4, AND SAVE IT ON MEMORY CARD, OR USB DRIVE!(480,720 or 1080)

Trash! Do NOT buy, cheap garbage!Bought to record underwater camera video. Just stops working for no apparent reason. Super frustrating as it goes in and out. Not reliable. Looks and feels like a cheap Chinese toy, very poor quality all around. Can’t return it or comment on customer service or support as I had to modify exterior slightly to fit in a power box… I should have followed the reviews that said it is indeed a “Pyle”
