I was unsureI was looking to give myself something for Christmas – and I landed on this. I spend a lot of work time on MS Teams calls, and some leisure time on Skype calls. I had “upgraded” my camera and microphone to an integrated hi-def Logitech camera about 5 years ago (it sits on top of my monitor). The camera is great, and I remember folks telling me the sound quality was much better than the admittedly crappy camera and microphone I had prior to that. I was unsure if this would provide a noticeable improvement in sound quality, but it was on sale so I took a shot. I installed it, and did some recordings, switching between this and the old integrated microphone. I thought I could identify a minor improvement with the Yeti mic, but my hearing isn’t great and I wasn’t sure. So I asked several people, in different calls, if they could tell the difference. The uniform answer was “YES!”. I also got a (on the old one) “you sound like you’re in a box”, and (on the new one) “you sound like you’re in the room with me”, and another person said “you sound good enough to do a podcast”. So, I have to say I am happy with this purchase. I also really like the way it looks — somehow it just looks the way I’ve always thought a professional microphone should look.

Capturing audio for your podcast and other presentationsI bought this as a gift for someone to capture their voice better than the computer mics.

Would buy againUsed for a DND game since I don’t use headphones due to sound sensitivity

Pleased with it so farHave been using my Airpods on my Macbook Air and noticed people had a hard time hearing me clearly on Zoom calls. Decided to get this mic (along with a USB-C converter) to improve the sound quality. Admittedly, I’ve only had it for two or so days, but have already noticed a huge difference (people are more responsive, haven’t been asked to repeat myself).

Best microphone for streamingone complaint very high quality microphone but when in no latency monitoring it makes you either really quiet or really loud there’s no adjustment for the sound of the game and yourself it turns both up at the same time sadly – A PS4 user

Good enoughMy friends immediately noticed a good difference in my mic quality when I switched to this mic from the one built into my headphones. It is, however, worth noting that this mic doesn’t have a gain setting built in. You have to adjust it in whatever software you’re using. Kinda annoying.
