Automatic Switching Input
The SDI distribution has an SD, HD and 3Gb/s automatic switching input and provides 8 re-clock outputs. Ideal for connecting the same signal to several devices at the same time. A wide range of video standards are supported including, NTSC, PAL, 1080i / 59.94, 1080i / 50, 1080psf / 23.98, 1080psf / 24, 720p / 59.94 and 720p / 50, plus new formats can be added via USB.
Features
The mini converters feature a single redundant input for mission-critical tasks like broadcasting or live events. The mini converters instantly switch between standard definition and high definition video formats and the switch is automatic when the video input changes.

Just a great SDI DistributorTo start it is BlackMagic. So far I have been very happy with every BlackMagic product that I have used and this is no exception. So far I have only tested on the workbench but I look forwarded to getting it installed in production. It is just plug and play and it works.

Dead on Arrival.First one I got it was dead on arrival. Would power up but wouldn’t pass signal to any output. Black magic made me ship it back on my own dime even though it was there fault and also put a $25 hold on my credit card until they got the dead one back. Took a few more days and got one that worked.

It Just Works – alwaysI use plenty of the blackmagic devices in live production studio and distribution settings. They are slightly expensive but they always work. This one is no exception. I have tried other mfgs from time to time and you can get lucky but be careful.
