2. TONOR USB Omnidirectional Conference Room Desk Microphone Review

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: TONOR USB Omnidirectional Conference Room Desk Microphone Review

hello today we're going to be looking at kind of a different mic I've reviewed a lot of mics in the past but this one is a USB conference room mic in this video I'm not going to do any audio editing or anything like that so the audio you are hearing right now is coming straight from the mic as is I've really actually been pretty impressed and happy with this mic if you put on headphones they kind of crank the music you will see that there's some background noise and that's mostly because the gain on this is turned up really high it is a conference room mic so it's kind of designed to be omnidirectional and kind of pick up everything around it and I think it does a really great job of picking up my voice even from a far distance right now I'm about 1 and a half feet from the mic which is pretty close and just a bit I'm going to show you how it sounds from different distances one cool feature about this mic is it has a simple touch sensitive button to mute it unmuted it okay so I'm going to grab my camera right now so I can walk around the room and give you an idea of what it sounds like at different distances okay so it's just a close-up of how this might looks it's padded underneath and you can see that you could mount it on a wall if you want to kick it's got a nice fabric cord here's the mute button pretty cool let's go for a walk okay so right now probably a good see maybe ten feet and if we're being honest this is probably about as far away as you would ever have the mic be if it was on a conference room table unless you have a conference room table that's you know 50 feet long or something this is about the worst sound you would probably expect to hear from this so I could get further okay now I've came to corner now I'm totally on a different floor in the house probably about like 20 30 feet away yelling so as you can see so as you can hear the mic actually has really good sound it picks things up very well it's USB so it's just plug and play the mic itself on the computer is called USB PNP audio device analog mono at least that's what it is on my computer I've got a Linux machine it's probably gonna be something like that but you can plug it into Linux Windows Mac boom you just plug it in you have a mics networks really quite nice so obviously this would be good for something like Skype calls or something where you've got your computer set up you can just plug this in and throw this on the middle of the table especially like if it's a conference call what I like to use it for is I use Google to make all my phone calls so I just have this set down at my desk and whenever I need to make a phone call I just have this out I unmute it boom I have good audio on a phone call really been happy and impressed with this mic I will post a link to this mic in the description below so you can check it out for yourself

3. Record Interviews with the Omnidirectional Conference USB Microphone by Tonor

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Record Interviews with the Omnidirectional Conference USB Microphone by Tonor

what's happened if he had Novation Peter Brown Pandey here just got this it's a boundary conference microphone punch sensor technology and I wanted to show this to you here you know I use one of those stand-up dust mites those carrot eyed microphones a lot but one of the cool things is you know that recording stuff on audio is kind of a communal thing and sometimes you have a buddy around with you suppose you're trying to take a conference call together and so those sets of microphones which are really just personal microphones they sit right in front of you and they kind of have a pickup range that's right in front of it aren't great for kind of doing joint things and I'd like to enjoy things so I picked this up because I thought this would be a nice slim way kind of almost looks to me like those work you know desk conference room speaker phones and so you know it's very flat it's kind of alien look it looks like a cockpit here it's very it's quite heavy actually it's like metal construction even the great here's metal looks like we have a touch power button on the top here we have a nylon braided covered power cord or connection on it well some two screw holes here kind of like keymod so you could actually mount this I guess on a wall like that if you needed it maybe above your monitor or something like that - we have a pretty long cable here it's just just gonna be a USB cable looks like gold-plated connector and I will extend this out okay that's like a five foot long cable so you can definitely have this connected to a computer and then run to the center of a table saw if you're having a meeting with a bunch of people you'll have no problems gathering around it so what I want to do is hook this up to my computer and record some audio with this and see what we think about it let's give it a try all right sitting in front of my computer and I've got the microphone plugged in here you can see that it has a little touch sensitive button on the top like that boom and it kind of just dawned on me that turning it off was going to turn off my microphone pick up on this thing so anyway all I want to do is I'm just gonna put it down here on the top my desk right in front of me and I just want to talk into it and I I actually want to move around a little bit to just kind of demonstrate the pick up on it so you know I'm only a couple feet away from it here you know and I'm talking a little bit maybe more elevated than I would just a normal casual calm conversation but you know the the assumption here is that you might have someone back here also speaking into it you know four or five feet away and then even at maybe someone further at the edge of the table or at the edge of a conference table or you know five six seven feet away so you know this is the pickup that you can expect I think this is kind of really interesting because like I said it's not just a personal mic it really is a microphone for putting people around you so whether you are just plugging this in to your computer to record some audio for a podcast maybe you're just trying to interview friends and family maybe you're just trying to capture a discussion maybe you're spending the holidays with with elderly folks that you want to capture all those stories you can put a bunch of people around here without having to set up individual mics so I really like this and the small form-factor means it's really easy to take with you too so for me when I like going on the road or something you know and especially visiting my other buddies or something like that and want to capture some really good audio you know taking this little guy with me is going to be what I'm gonna do because means I don't have to pack up a big mic which kind of goes into a big like Pelican like case so check it out you'll have to judge the auto quality for yourself because I'm not listening to this live I'll listen to it afterwards but if you like it I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up I'll put a link to the description peter von panda ow

5. TONOR TM20 USB Omnidirectional Conference Microphone Review

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: TONOR TM20 USB Omnidirectional Conference Microphone Review

hey what is up youtube how are you guys doing today thank you guys so much for joining me today my name is tobias and welcome to my youtube channel happy microphone monday and welcome to another microphone review today what i have for you guys is a review of the toner tm20 it's a usb conference microphone it goes for 29.99 on amazon i'll go ahead and put the amazon page up right here as you can see it comes with free shipping and comes with free returns and if you want to check out the amazon page for yourself i'll go ahead and put the link down in the description of this video it's supposed to have an omnidirectional pickup pattern which means that it will pick up audio equally from all around the microphone and just to be clear it might look like a speaker like kind of like an alexa or something but it is not a speaker it's just a microphone and if you look right there on the picture that button in the middle is a mute button so as usual guys i'm gonna go ahead and do a quick unboxing followed by a demonstration followed by a review and if you decide at any point during this video that you do actually like this video i would really appreciate it if you went down there and gave this video a like that would help me out so much and if you'd like to see more videos by me in the future make sure to go down there and hit that subscribe button and also hit that bell notifications button i upload new microphone reviews every monday i call it microphone mondays and let's go ahead and get right into this [Music] all right guys so here's everything that came inside the box of course over here we have the instruction manual we have a little card here with some warranty information we have the actual microphone itself and of course the usb cable so you can connect it to your computer and just for size reference this is the microphone in the palm of my hand um it's got a decent amount of weight to it it's not super light it's not super heavy it feels like it weighs what it should as you can see the bottom of the microphone seems to have some rubber padding to keep it from slipping around so much and just for some more size referencing here's the microphone next to my computer keyboard and here's the microphone next to my mouse and here's the microphone next to my coffee mug and it looks like the microphone has a diameter of just over four and a half inches so i took a quick look at the user manual and it's more or less self-explanatory but they do have a diagram right here of the frequency response it looks like it's most responsive at around 4k and in the frequencies higher than that it starts to dip down a bit [Music] all right guys so i just connected the microphone to my computer and now let's move on to the demonstration portion of this video so i'm going to demonstrate it in two different ways first i'm going to just record into logic pro while monitoring the audio on my headphones and you guys will be able to hear the direct audio from this microphone right here i have it set up right in front of me and by the way i just thought i should point this out real quick this is a mute button and if you tap it it turns red tap it back it turns blue so anyways after i demonstrate it in logic pro i'm going to also demonstrate this microphone using discord a lot of people in my microphone videos have been asking me if the microphones work with discord or how they sound with discord so after i test it this way we're gonna go and test it with discord just to see if there's any sort of audio compression or anything like that that might change the sound of this microphone when using it with discord so the next audio that you hear will be from this microphone right here let's go alright guys so the audio that you are now hearing is coming from the toner tm-20 um i am hearing a little bit of a noise floor it's not terrible though this is actually kind of what i expected this microphone to sound like i actually reviewed a conference microphone by mono almost a year ago and this microphone reminds me a lot of that microphone but as you guys could probably hear we are getting a little bit of that noise floor a little bit of like you know background noise let's see what happens when i move further away from the microphone check one two check all right guys this is how it sounds when i'm about five feet away from the microphone this is how it sounds from about two feet away this is how it sounds from about four inches from the microphone and let's just go ahead and move around a little i'm gonna grab the camera the microphones on the desk i'm looking in the opposite direction this is what it sounds like i'm gonna stay in the same place and turn towards the microphone this is what it sounds like i'm gonna go ahead and sit back down right in front of the microphone this is what it sounds like all right guys so i think we have a pretty good idea of how this microphone sounds what i'm going to do next is i'm going to test it out with discord so what i did is i created two discord accounts so i'm going to sign into one with this computer right here i'm going to go up to the house and sign in with another computer i'm going to plug this microphone into that computer up in the house and on this computer right here i'll be screen recording so that we could hear what it sounds like for the other person so let's go ahead and do that right now hey what's up guys so i'm now recording inside discord i have the microphone right here you guys should probably be able to hear that i'm going to test out the mute button right now check check check check check check check check check all right i'm should be unmuted now now what i'm going to do is i'm going to disconnect this microphone and then we can see how it sounds in comparison with the regular stock microphone on this imac alright so give me one second all right guys now we are using the built-in microphone on this imac i'm curious to see if they sound different from each other i imagine that there's going to be some like sort of loss of quality since we're streaming like over the internet but i'm not 100 sure so what i'm going to do next is i'm going to go ahead and play back the screen recording and see how it sounds alright guys so i'm back down here in my room and we are going to move on to the review portion of this video so i went back and i listened to the audio that i recorded in logic pro and then i also listened to the audio that i recorded in discord and i just want to say i guess from the recording that i did into logic pro the audio pretty much sounded as i imagined it would we didn't get super crisp audio like we would have gotten with a nice condenser microphone but we did get some decent audio that i would expect to get from a 30 conference microphone and i just want to say it's not bad when listening back to the discord recording there is a huge difference in quality between this microphone and the built-in microphone on an imac this microphone in my opinion sound a lot better than the imac microphone i also like how you have access to a mute button on the microphone itself i think that's very convenient i like how this microphone is so small you could fit it almost anywhere it's really inconspicuous it barely takes up any room but of course guys i would love to hear what you guys think if you're looking for something that can produce audio quality a bit better than the built-in microphone on your computer and you don't want to go with like your traditional condenser usb microphone and you want something small and compact that doesn't get in the way i think this is a great option so once again guys let me know what you guys think about this microphone down in the comments below and once again i will have the amazon page for this microphone linked down in the description of this video in case you want to check it out for yourself and if you like this video or if this video helped you out i would really appreciate it if you went down there and gave this video like that would help me out tremendously and if you would like to see more videos by me in the future make sure you go down there and hit that subscribe button and also hit that bell notifications button i upload new microphone videos every monday and i'll talk to you guys in my next video peace

6. TONOR USB Omnidirectional Conference Microphone Product Review

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: TONOR USB Omnidirectional Conference Microphone Product Review

hey guys welcome back to the circle via YouTube - for this video we're gonna do a little product review on this toner toner tio and our microphone they were nice enough to send it to me for free in exchange for review so I will put a link down below if you want to check it out on Amazon I'm in no way an expert on microphones but as you can see from this table I have quite a few of them and they're very important for my youtube videos obviously if they sounded awful you guys wouldn't stick around too long so we have all sorts of ones for different endeavors different purposes the shot shotgun microphone on the Canon camera the Logitech headset microphone which might be the worst one possible a rock band microphone you can just plug in the USB port and it'll work on your phone have the lapel microphone with like a 30 foot cord so you can clip it to your shirt and record there and the big boy in the back is what you guys normally hear me on which is a blue Yeti very expensive microphone it's over $100 maybe that's not very expensive to some people but for me for a microphone it's expensive so this one has its own purpose also it's omnidirectional you can see it calls it a boundary conference microphone so it's intended purpose as if you put it in the middle of the table and you had people all around maybe you're doing a podcast or something similar or on a Skype call and you got any little business associates around you whatever it picks up sound from all different directions whereas the shotgun microphone you want to be right in front of it you're gonna be right there's we were gonna get the sound and that's how most of these microphones are so it is a little bit unique to have an omnidirectional microphone that picks up from various directions but I could also be used you could just set on a desktop and use it as you're on the computer so we're going to test it in a few different scenarios see how it works one thing with a conference microphone that we want to find out is how far away can you be and speaking at a comfortable level and it still picks up sound it's also supposed to have noise canceling so I'll see how much outside noise or other noises you hear for example right now I'm just using the built-in microphone on my camera and my computer is running behind me it's very likely that you guys can hear it so here's a little pamphlet on it but it's plug and play you don't have to install anything so probably not going to need that it comes nicely packaged at least you know foam deal keep it from moving around on you so first thing I think of is it's metal which is nice you can see this is all plastic this is all plastic this thing's all plastic so it kind of gives it a heftiness to it and a lot makes it feel better quality just be made out of metal and they obviously could have went cheap and made this out of plastic has a button on top here a little touch button it says uh that's like the power symbol can you see that it's the power symbol but this is supposed to have a mute button on it so I'm assuming that's how you mute it which I guess the power button kind of does mute things because it turns it off but we'll test that to make sure it works it's supposed to light up blue and we plug it in we'll see that too and then on the back actually kind of cool that you have a wall mount you have screws to wall mount it which is really neat I haven't seen that before I could see how that could be handy and I'd also has this foam stuff for setting it on a table or a desk won't scratch anything and hopefully uh keep down some vibrations with that and then you have of course the cord so I want to plug this thing in and we're gonna try recording in a couple different scenarios to see how it sounds and I also want to use this blue Yeti and kind of compare the two because that blue Yeti as I said is over $100 microphone and this one right now on Amazon you can get for $19.99 and free shipping try to turn around look at my computer see what it was so we're gonna compare this is twenty dollars to something that was like a hundred and twenty dollars so and see how it stacks up let's give it a shot we have it plugged in and by the way it's a bout a six and a half foot cable that comes with this microphone and we see the touch button here so BAM there's like so blue let you know it's on also as we said functions as a mute button so let's do a couple of recordings and see how it sounds cuz after all that is the important part right I thought for testing the microphone we would take a look at the Amazon listing and this is the exact same setup you guys hear all the time every time I do a screen capture video sitting in the same place that my blue Yeti wood right here on the desk foot two feet away from me whatever it is and yeah so let's look at a couple of these things we're going to read some of it with this microphone will test the mute function actually I can do that right now you can hear me now or I wasn't working so I was talking that whole time if there was dead air space in the middle well then guess what the new button works so I'm gonna read a few things with this microphone then we'll switch over to the blue Yeti so you can compare the sound quality to both microphones so I said it's a toner toner I'm not sure USP conference microphone omnidirectional boundary condenser PC microphone business conference okay so now we're just plugging in a bunch of key words omnidirectional as we talked about it can go from different directions no it's just a microphone not a speaker well it's good to know let's see the radius of around 11 and a half feet that enables easy sound pickup from all directions the device is equipped with a dual capacitor anti-jam core that captures the most subtle sounds around it by the way we're really close to my computer which is loud and a lot of people say that they can hear it in the background of my other videos so you can obviously compare that to other videos or you know if you just hear in the background or not now plug and play as we talked about there's no drivers just put it right in works right away and here it says the two meter cable which I had to use a Google calculator to find out that that's like six and a half feet and the mute button that looks like a power button so there's that let me switch over to the blue Yeti so you guys can get an idea of what it sounds like on that now here is the blue Yeti in the exact same spot that the other microphone is the exact same setup and this is what you normally hear me on so let's read this description real quick just to give you an idea of the different sound qualities with businesses conducting meetings and conferences all year round communication is a key aspect for companies to be able to deliver results if you are in a situation where every meeting turns into a fiasco because nobody can hear each other over shouts and screams give yourself in your company a break by purchasing the all new toner conference microphone built-in designed for large conferences and meetings the device effortlessly picks up even the most subtle sound in the room was superb clarity and detail so there's your differences the other thing I want to do will plug this toner microphone back in and because it is a conference microphone I want to set it up on a table and record my voice from different spots in the room in different distances away to see how it works we are back on the toner conference microphone as I told you guys I wanted to do a couple of tests with me be two different spots in the room different distances away and I'm even gonna get real technical with this because I'm going to grab a tape measure since it was laying right next to me and as I'm talking to you guys I'm walking around the room I'm moving all over the place so we'll see how well you can hear what I'm doing right now I'm about four feet away from the microphone and directly in front of it we can move off to the side about ninety degrees to the side here and still maybe a little bit closer so I got shelving unit in my way probably about three feet away here but if you were at a table or something I really think this would be good for people who do podcasts or interviews because I have always had a problem with picking up different voices around the room like Obama and I are both on a video together can be a little bit difficult so about three feet on the other side of the room for ya now now I'm going to go way back now we're about ten feet away see how you guys hear that comes in clear I did just listen back to the playback of the comparison of the two microphones I'm right in front you know and the blue Yeti definitely sounds better it's more of a crisp tone to it and you would expect that it's a microphone that's five to six times more expensive but I was impressed with this microphone this toner microphone because you didn't have any like clicks and pops the blue Yeti I use a pop filter so you don't hear all my peas and stuff whereas this one doesn't have that other than the little mesh screen that's on the front of it and you didn't have any of those extra noises in there so overall I'm pretty impressed with it one thing that I did really like is my blue Yeti so big that I have to take it off the desk every time I'm done recording so I'm constantly putting it away getting it out plugging it in and this thing has such a small footprint that you could just leave it on your desk you know you fire up Skype because you're doing a Skype call with someone or you're making a YouTube video and you just go at it so overall especially for the price I think it's pretty decent microphone but you guys have heard me talk for like ten minutes now so you can make your own judgments on what you think of it I will put a link down below thanks for watching make sure give the video a like subscribe Karen are you not already a subscriber I can talk I kind of do this for a living almost thanks for watching guys

7. USB UM02 Conference Microphone XIIVIO 360° Omnidirectional Condenser? Fail

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: USB UM02 Conference Microphone XIIVIO 360° Omnidirectional Condenser? Fail

so i bought this teleconferencing mic i was going to try it out for the robot to see if it would make any difference since this is an omnidirectional microphone it's made for conferencing but uh i'm using this cad mic up here which actually works really good and there is a huge difference in volume i mean you can see it right here the uh the 3c is the cad mic and it's so much louder test test test so it's gonna be able to pick up a lot better than this other microphone so it's kind of a waste of money so definitely i do not recommend this microphone it kind of sucks and uh it's whatever you know it wasn't that much money but it's still it just is how many it doesn't have any output really so i suspect that this would not really work that well if you were trying to teleconference a large group of people because it's barely i mean it's not even picking up my voice right now and that's kind of ridiculous but the cool thing is it has a feature where you could turn it off but i mean that doesn't really do any good since it doesn't really have any volume behind it test test test yeah so we're going to stick with the cad for old weco and work on that
