Before the epidemic, nobody could have predicted the drastic shift that the entire world would undergo or how fast businesses would adapt to all virtual occurrences.
The popularity of hybrid events grew as new nations and cities emerged and needed time to settle into normalcy. The answer to easing people into face-to-face meetings while accommodating those who are still uneasy in social situations was to host hybrid events.
In fact, hybrid events gained so much popularity that, according to Gavelint, “an astounding 97% of event marketers believe we will see more hybrid events.”
The dissemination of the vaccination has contributed to the unevenness of events and has increased people’s comfort levels with attending in-person gatherings once more. However, some people continue to have self-esteem issues or pose a serious risk to their health.
Even if we’re not quite there yet, hybrid events should continue to be the norm for the foreseeable future. They’ll also probably change our perception of how to organize events and create new opportunities for them.
