360-degree projection is standard at this hotel

3D Projection

W South Beach unveiled a $6 million renovation of its ballroom and meeting space on Wednesday, which incorporates 360-degree projection technology. According to the establishment, this is a first for hotels in North America. The layout of the 4,300-square-foot ballroom, which accommodates up to 250 guests, was inspired by the L’Atelier des Lumiéres in Paris.

In 2020, the hotel underwent a $30 million renovation after opening in 2009. This renovation incorporates cutting-edge technology into a space, allowing for instantaneous ambiance and experience changes for guests. “Imagine stepping into the ballroom and being instantly transported to the streets of London, the beaches of Rio, or the enchanting gardens of Kyoto,” said Rick Ueno, the general manager of W South Beach. Since we’ve been the social hub of Miami’s main cultural events – Art Basel, Miami Swim Week, etc. – for a decade, it was time to up the ante and transform the way beach events and meetings are conducted.

The color scenes of the integrated projection system are completely customizable. The property also provides a digital archive of still images and video footage. This includes an assortment of abstract digital art, verdant vegetation, sunny beaches, static wallpaper effects, and party effects.
